Heart of the Reef

Through research, it came as a shock to see how endangered coral reefs truly are, along with how much they affect us. Heart of the Reef is an organization advocating to end the coral reef crisis. Their mission is to conserve the world’s rapidly deteriorating coral reefs by educating the public, especially our younger generations, on how they can make changes in their daily lives to help make a difference for our reefs regardless of where they are located. We all exist in the same world around us, and how we treat our environment has a lasting impact on so many more systems than we initially think.

The approach I took is to be innovative and focus on making people excited and engaged. When creating this organization and campaign, I took the liberty to create the illustrations myself to truly ensure the visuals and information being presented would communicate as intended. The intent is that when people hear about the effort to make a difference for coral reefs, they will be ready to do their part and implement change into their lives.

This campaign includes an infographic poster, an art vending machine with various prints, a TikTok account, a branded airport changing station, a tourist magazine tip-in, and a website.
